First and of most importance, we always strive to use less pesticides on our lawns. Yes, there is a need for pesticides if you want your lawn to have minimal weeds, diseases, and problems. Using these prodcuts responsibly and sparingly is our approach.
We base our program around Best Management Practices (BMP's) such as proper fertilization, mowing and watering recommendation, and overall care.
Based on your type of grass, we have a proven, 6 step program scheduled every 6-8 weeks which includes:
- Slow release granular lawn fertilizer (non–burning), golf-course quality formulations that meet the soil needs of our area and provide the best balance of nutrients for each customer's lawn.
- Weed control for weeds including Nutsedge. Used only by spot treating, as needed. No blanket applications are used unless you're a new customer with significant weed problems.
- Pre-emergent weed control for grassy weeds in Bermuda, Zoysia, and St. Augustine lawns. Since most grassy weeds cannot be sprayed once they are present, this is important. This technique is used when a lawn is not thick enough to ward off these weeds on it's own. Later, our goal is to use less herbicides overall. We'll get your lawn there!
- Time-tested techniques to prevent Chinch Bug attacks on your lawn.
- Spot treatment for Brown Patch and Grey Leaf Spot
- Professional inspection and feedback as necessary.
- Blow off all sidewalks, driveway, and porches cleanly. No fertilizers are blown into the street, which are destined to reach streams, rivers, lakes, and the ocean. There is a developing problem with fertilizers used by homeowners and many lawn care businesses that is destroying aquatic life in rivers, streams, and oceans. We care about our environment too much to let that happen.
