Our Weekly Watering Recommendations
Daily temps are still up and down in Texas but we’re starting to see little bits of fall weather on the horizon. We’re still recommending watering twice a week for about 0.5″ of water on the lawn per session. With the weather cooling down, it’s more important than ever to make sure you are watering in the early hours of the morning. Watering in the afternoon or evening will encourage fungal issues like brown patch!
Winter Dormancy is Just Around the Corner
With the fall season approaching, grass is beginning to grow at a slower rate and will soon go into dormancy. When factors like sunlight and heat become less available, your grass will start to save nutrients and begin losing its green color. This is a normal and natural process for warm-season grasses in Texas! Allowing your grass to go dormant is essential to ensuring it returns to nice and green come next spring and summer.
